According to the charge, Blessing CEO allegedly induced Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited to pay the money after claiming that a property located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, belonged to her and had been leased to the company for five years.

The commission alleged that the representation was false.

When the charges were read in court, the defendant pleaded not guilty.

EFCC counsel, C.C. Okezie, asked the court for a trial date and also requested that the defendant be remanded in EFCC custody pending another scheduled arraignment before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi.

Justice Oshodi ordered her remand in EFCC custody and adjourned the matter till July 16, 2026, for hearing of the bail application and commencement of trial.

In a related development, Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, granted Blessing CEO bail in the sum of ₦10 million in another alleged ₦36 million fraud case being prosecuted by the EFCC.
