Arsenal have confirmed their final squad numbers for the 2026/27 season following a busy summer transfer window that saw major arrivals and departures at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta’s side spent more than £200 million strengthening the squad, with Bruno Guimaraes, Ezri Konsa, Christos Tzolis and Illan Meslier among the new additions.
Guimaraes will wear the No. 39 shirt, continuing with the number he has used throughout his career in tribute to his father, whose taxi carried the same number while he worked in Brazil. Konsa has taken No. 15 following his £55 million move from Aston Villa, while Tzolis will wear No. 17.
Piero Hincapie retains No. 5 after his loan move from Bayer Leverkusen was made permanent, while goalkeeper Meslier has selected No. 30. The Frenchman is expected to serve as Arsenal’s third-choice goalkeeper this season.
Several notable numbers remain vacant after Arsenal’s summer clear-out. The No. 9 shirt is available following Gabriel Jesus’ deadline-day move to Barcelona, while No. 11 became vacant after Gabriel Martinelli joined Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
Other departures have also opened up numbers across the squad, including 16, 19, 21, 22, 24 and 31. Arsenal’s reshaped squad is already two wins from two in the new Premier League campaign and is preparing to face Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday.
The confirmed squad numbers include David Raya at No. 1, William Saliba at No. 2, Bukayo Saka at No. 7, Martin Odegaard at No. 8, Eberechi Eze at No. 10 and Viktor Gyokeres at No. 14. Declan Rice continues with No. 41, while academy players Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman take Nos. 49 and 56 respectively.
Arsenal will now turn their attention to the remainder of the season, with Premier League and Champions League commitments ahead following the completion of their summer recruitment.
