The palace of the Arujale-Ojime of Okeluse Kingdom in Ondo State has warned the public to stop using disrespectful titles when addressing the 22-year-old monarch, Oba Oloyede Adekoya Akinghare II.

In a statement released on Friday, the king’s Chief of Staff, Prince Adefemi Olorunfemi, insisted that the monarch must be addressed only as “His Royal Majesty,” and any other form of address will no longer be tolerated.

The statement noted that some people have been using casual terms like “bro” or “blood” to address the king, under the pretense of familiarity, which is seen as disrespectful. It emphasized that the king’s youth does not justify such behavior, and any attempt to undermine his authority will be met with strong measures.

The palace urged everyone, especially Yoruba people, to uphold culture, tradition, and respect for authority.
