The Chairman/CEO of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Prof. Abdullahi Usman, says accommodation arrangements for the 2026 Hajj in Makkah and Madinah have been concluded.

Usman disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday by his Technical Assistant on Media, Ahmad Muazu, addressed to stakeholders, pilgrims and the public.

He said the arrangements were completed ahead of deadlines set by Saudi authorities and duly uploaded and approved by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj.

According to Usman, the process followed a directive by Vice President Kashim Shettima to finalise all critical Hajj preparations within approved Saudi timelines.

“Shettima directed that key arrangements be completed promptly to safeguard Nigeria’s operational interests during the Hajj exercise,” he said.

Usman acknowledged the Vice President’s guidance and the support of a high-level delegation sent to Saudi Arabia during the process.

He commended the NAHCON Board, Nusuk Masar team, State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, NAHCON staff and other stakeholders for their roles.

“With this, Nigeria has secured accommodation for the 2026 Hajj and is among countries that met the timelines,” Usman said, adding preparations have moved to the next phase.
