Delta govt bans illegal fees in secondary and primary schools

Parents and students across Delta State have been granted relief as the State Government banned illegal levies in secondary schools and ordered principals and school staff to refund all unauthorized fees within 72 hours.

The directive, issued by the Ministry of Secondary Education under the MORE Agenda, also announced approved examination fees: BECE — ₦1,100 for government-sponsored candidates; ₦4,850 for public school repeaters; and ₦5,450 for private school candidates. WASSCE fees are ₦31,400 for public candidates and ₦28,400 for private candidates, while NECO fees will be announced.
