Mohammed said that 60 per cent of the candidates who sat for the exam recorded five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

“The timely release of these results, achieved within 64 days after the last paper, reflects our commitment to integrity, transparency and efficiency in the conduct of public examinations,” he said.

According to the registrar, a total of 61,591 candidates registered for the examinations nationwide, comprising 57,444 ordinary level and 4,147 advanced level candidates

This, he said, marked a 28.42 per cent increase in enrolment compared to 2024.

Mohammed noted that the examinations were conducted in 2,079 centres across the country, representing a 13.92 per cent increase in the number of centres and demonstrating growing confidence in NABTEB examinations.

He said that the performance varied across trade categories, with Construction Trades recording 79.32 per cent, Engineering Trades 76.84 per cent, Miscellaneous Trades 77 per cent, while Business Trades recorded 52.07 per cent.

“Overall, 57.32 per cent of candidates were certified as craftsmen, while 56.52 per cent qualified as master craftsmen,” he said.

The registrar added that 54,009 candidates, representing 94.74 per cent, obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.

On examination malpractice, Mohammed said 259 candidates, representing 0.42 per cent, were involved in examination malpractices, a slight decrease from the 0.53 per cent recorded in 2024.

“This reduction shows that our strengthened monitoring mechanisms and collaboration with security agencies are yielding results,” he said.

The NABTEB boss reaffirmed NABTEB’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training reforms through digital innovation and stakeholder collaboration.

“Our goal is to equip Nigerian youths with 21st-century skills and position the country as a skilled destination hub in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.
