A female grain dealer and 10 other persons have been abducted along the Takum-Tor Donga-Katsina Road in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area, LGA.

It was gathered that the incident, which occurred on around 10 am on February 9, 2026, heightened tensions along the Benue-Taraba border.

The victims were said to have been abducted at at a settlement known as Tse-De as the journeyed from Takum in Taraba State to Tor-Donga Market, a major commercial hub.

A relative of the businesswoman said the abductors have not reached out to her family one week after her abduction.

The relative said, “My aunt, a businesswoman, was kidnapped along with about 10 other passengers. Since the incident, there has been no communication from the abductors, and today marks one week.”

According to the relative, the incident has left the family traumatised.

The Benue State Police Command has not confirmed the incident.
