The company touted the new variant as a blend of cultural heritage and modern convenience, setting it apart in Nigeria’s spirits market.

In a statement, the Group Executive Director, Adekunle Rosiji, said the company introduced the 20cl bottle to drive growth in a competitive environment.

“The 20cl bottle is a bridge between tradition and today’s consumer lifestyle. It retains the brand’s heritage while offering convenience, elegance, and value for modern retail channels,” Rosiji explained, adding that the new size fills the gap created by the phased-out 3 cl category while strengthening the brand’s aspirational appeal.

Rosiji also commended the company’s distributors for their role in sustaining growth. “Progress requires more than help; it requires collaboration and committed partners. Our distributors embody this spirit, and their dedication continues to drive the sustained success of Seamans Bless and the wider NDL portfolio,” he added.

The Executive Director, Wale Majolagbe, described the launch as a defining moment for the company’s consumer engagement strategy, stressing that the 20cl variant reflects NDL’s ability to balance heritage with innovation while remaining culturally authentic.

Majolagbe added that the new format would deepen grassroots connections and reinforce the company’s leadership in delivering premium experiences nationwide.

The Marketing Manager, Gbemileke Lawal, said the launch responds directly to evolving consumer expectations. “As the ‘Son of the Elder’ — Omo Odo Agba, also fondly known as Nwa Agadi in Igbo — Seamans Bless carries the same premiumness, status, and promise as the ‘True Spirit of Our Culture’ while carving its own identity in the consumer market,” Lawal stated.

The Senior Brand Manager, Nnenna Onyenacho, described the 20cl bottle as a transformational addition to the spirits category, citing its portability and refined packaging.

She said, “From youthful consumers and working professionals to traders and social consumers, the 20 cl bottle offers convenience without compromising the trusted Seaman’s Schnapps taste or brand promise.”

In his remarks, the Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye, Abdul Adenugba, commended the company for its leadership and long-standing reputation for excellence.

The monarch prayed for continued growth for the organisation, its management, staff, distributors and partners and expressed confidence that Seamans Bless would record remarkable success in the market.

The company stated that the new packaging features refined labelling, improved shelf visibility, enhanced portability and greater price accessibility to reinforce its premium perception while expanding reach.

Trade partners welcomed the innovation, citing its potential to drive increased turnover and attract a broader demographic of consumers.

NDL confirmed that distribution of the 20 cl Seaman’s Bless has commenced nationwide, with full availability expected across major markets and licensed retail outlets in the coming weeks.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to responsible marketing, quality assurance and sustainable expansion, stating that the new launch reflects its dedication to innovation, cultural relevance and consumer trust.
