Some policemen have arrested Nollywood actor, Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, popularly known as Stanley Ontop.
themomentng reports that Stanley made this known in a post shared via his Instagram story on Friday.
Stanley, who is studying law at Dennis Osadebe University in Asaba, Delta State, said he was arrested within the school premises over a petition from an unknown person.
The actor questioned the school authorities for allowing the police to arrest him without a prior invitation.
He wrote, “Some policemen came to my school this afternoon to arrest me over a petition from an unknown person. Coming to school to arrest me, the school authorities and the government must be aware of this lawlessness.
“How can you invade a university to perfect my arrest, what happened to an invitation?”
Recall that Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard recently filed a petition against Stanley Ontop over alleged defamation of character.
The petition, dated January 28, 2026, was sent to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s lawyers, Uche Okoro & Co.
In the document, the actor accused Stanley Ontop of making repeated statements that damaged his reputation without any provocation for more than two years.
Leonard also claimed that the filmmaker had been spreading stories that painted him in a bad light, which he said had created a wrong public image about him.
He maintained that the actions were deliberate and harmful to his personal and professional life.
