Shock and grief have gripped Githurai 45 following the murder of a young single woman whose body was discovered days after she was last seen alive.
According To NewsVista Reporter, Monicah Nyambura was found dead inside her bedroom on Friday, February 20, after neighbors noticed a strong, unusual smell that lingered despite repeated cleaning. Initially suspected to be a dead rat, the odor persisted, prompting them to call the landlord. That is when Monicah’s body was discovered.
Neighbors revealed that Monicah had hosted several men shortly before her death, raising suspicions about who might be responsible. Wamaitha, a neighbor, warned residents to exercise caution when allowing visitors into their homes, especially given rising insecurity in the country.
Monicah’s phone was off, and she had been missing for two days—a behavior neighbors described as unusual. Reports indicate that her body had visible injuries on the face, suggesting she was attacked.
Police have launched investigations, while online communities mourn Monicah and demand justice. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
