According to the Kogi State Police Command, the exercise is being conducted under the supervision of the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force.

The Command says applicants from across the state are currently undergoing various stages of screening, including physical checks, verification of credentials and medical examinations to determine their fitness and suitability for enlistment.

Authorities note that the exercise has so far been peaceful, orderly and well coordinated.

The Police Command also emphasised that the recruitment process is free, transparent and strictly based on merit, warning applicants not to make payments to anyone in connection with the exercise.

Members of the public were advised to beware of fraudsters who may attempt to exploit candidates with false promises of assistance during the recruitment process.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Naziru Kankorofi, reassured residents of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, and urged continued cooperation with security agencies to sustain peace and security in the state.
