Flutterwave has announced a strategic collaboration with Kulipa, alongside Turnkey and Our Nuvion, aimed at enabling stablecoin-based payment cards and improving the usability of digital assets across Africa.

The announcement follows Kulipa’s official launch and signals growing momentum in building infrastructure that allows stablecoin balances to be used for everyday payments at merchants where cards are accepted.

According to the companies, the collaboration brings together a full-stack payments ecosystem spanning wallets, payment rails, and card issuance, designed to simplify the use of stablecoins for both consumers and businesses.

Flutterwave noted that it is working with partners such as Turnkey and Our Nuvion to strengthen the underlying infrastructure required for seamless digital asset transactions. The company added that future enhancements will allow businesses on its platform to move from holding stablecoins to spending them directly, improving flexibility for cross-border and everyday transactions.

Kulipa highlighted that the partnership represents a step toward a fully integrated stablecoin payment experience for merchants across Africa, combining wallet infrastructure, rails, and card issuance into a unified system.

The companies say the initiative reflects a broader push to bridge the usability gap in stablecoin adoption and unlock real-world payment use cases for digital currencies on the continent.
