Goal from Ferdi Kadıoğlu in the 3rd minute, Jack Hinshelwood 56th minute strike and Danny Welbeck stoppage time goal sealed victory for Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
The defeat piles pressure on head coach Liam Rosenior, as disgruntled fans called for his sack following another dismal display.
Brighton’s win lifts them above Chelsea into sixth place, boosting their push for European qualification with four matches remaining.

Moises Caicedo, one of Chelsea’s costly signings, was at fault for the second goal after slipping and losing possession.
Brighton took early control when Pascal Gross’ corner was flicked on, allowing Kadıoğlu to score via a deflection.
The hosts dominated proceedings, creating multiple chances while Chelsea failed to register meaningful attacking threat.

Chelsea managed their first shot late in the first half and struggled defensively throughout the encounter.
Hinshelwood doubled the lead in the 56th minute after being set up by Georginio Rutter following Caicedo’s error.
Frustration grew among Chelsea supporters, with chants directed at Rosenior and club ownership after the second goal.
Welbeck completed the rout in stoppage time, finishing from close range after a low cross by Maxim De Cuyper.
Chelsea will now shift focus to the FA Cup semi-final clash against Leeds United at Wembley on Sunday.
