Blessing CEO, the Nigerian influencer, has apologised for her stage four cancer claim, saying she did not lie about her “health issue”.
The controversy began in January when Blessing CEO announced she had cancer. She shared a purported medical report and solicited financial support.
However, Xinus Medical Diagnostics disputed the claim, alleging the report was altered and originally issued to Deborah Mbara in May 2025.
Mbara, a makeup artist and cancer survivor, later explained how Blessing allegedly obtained her report, prompting her family to petition the EFCC over alleged cyberbullying, forgery, and fraud.
The petition claimed Blessing raised over N300 million under false pretences, while the Nigerian Cancer Society also called for an investigation.
In a post via Instagram on Wednesday, Blessing, who just returned to social media weeks after the public backlash, promised to be more transparent with her medical reports going forward.
She also maintained that her health claims were genuine and pledged to share her scan and biopsy results while taking the public along on her journey.
“I am sorry for the unnecessary drama, embarrassment, and controversy surrounding my health issues. I sincerely apologise. Going forward, I promise to be transparent with all my medical reports, including my scans and biopsy results,” she said.
“Please be patient with me, as I will take you along on this journey, just like I did during my liposuction and BBL journey. I did not lie about my health issues. I will start by officially uploading my scan results and biopsy details and keep you all informed every step of the way.”
She added that she is willing to refund those uncomfortable with the controversy, asking them to provide proof of payment and their account details.
“Thank you so much for all the love and well wishes. To well-meaning Nigerians who contributed towards my health, I am deeply grateful and do not take your support for granted,” she added.
“To those who feel uncomfortable with the controversies, I am willing to offer refunds. Kindly send a WhatsApp message or DM with your receipt and account details, and you will be refunded.
“Thank you all. Remain blessed. I still ask for your prayers, please ask God to perfect everything that concerns me.”
In another series of posts, she shared a video of herself inside an MRI scan machine, along with images of her swollen hand, saying it has gone through “a lot of suffering”.
“My hands have been through a lot due to repeated punctures while trying to access my veins,” she said.
