UEFA has confirmed German official Daniel Siebert will referee the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal on May 30, 2026.

The Champions League grand finale will be staged at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary, where Siebert takes charge of his first UEFA club competition final after more than a decade on the international refereeing circuit.

The 42-year-old has been a familiar figure in Europe’s elite competition this season, handling nine Champions League fixtures. His assignments included Arsenal’s quarter-final against Sporting CP and semi-final clash with Atlético Madrid, as well as PSG’s quarter-final meeting with Liverpool.

Siebert’s appointment is viewed as recognition of his steady rise through UEFA’s officiating ranks since becoming a FIFA-listed referee in 2015. His experience on the biggest international stages includes appearances at both UEFA Euro 2020 and UEFA Euro 2024.

He will be supported by fellow Germans Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn as assistant referees. The video assistant referee team will be led by Bastian Dankert, completing an all-German officiating crew.

UEFA’s decision places significant responsibility on Siebert for a final expected to be played at high intensity, with both PSG and Arsenal chasing European glory.

The appointment also continues UEFA’s tradition of selecting referees who have handled multiple high-pressure matches during the campaign.
