themomentng reports that STEAM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics to foster critical thinking, creativity, and innovation.

The president noted that the facility, which was the first science-based museum in Nigeria, would offer engaging and practical experiences that complemented classroom learning through interactive exhibitions and scientific resources.

He said that the museum and library would serve students, researchers, educators, and the public by fostering curiosity, innovation, and a deeper appreciation for science and its role in national development.

The NAS president said that a public lecture titled: “Redefining Cancer Care in the Era of Immunotherapy and Precision Oncology: Implications for Research, Treatment, and Policy in Nigeria” would be delivered.

He said the lecture would be presented by Prof. Kunle Odunsi, the Director of the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

Sambo recalled that the facility was previously commissioned in 2025 by Rtd. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma before its formal opening to the public.
