Nigeria has reciprocated Rwanda’s 30-day visa-free entry policy, expanding travel access between both countries.

The development was announced on Friday by the Nigeria Immigration Service, which said all necessary arrangements had been concluded for the implementation of the directive issued by President Bola Tinubu.

The decision comes amid renewed diplomatic engagements between Nigeria and Rwanda aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and promoting African integration.

President Tinubu was in Kigali for the Africa CEO Forum, which was held on Thursday.

Ahead of the forum, Tinubu held talks with Paul Kagame at the Urugwiro Presidential Villa.

Both leaders discussed areas of cooperation between Nigeria and Rwanda, including trade, tourism, security collaboration and regional integration.

During the bilateral meeting, Tinubu had indicated that Nigeria was considering reciprocating Rwanda’s existing 30-day visa-free policy for Nigerians.

The President described the move as part of efforts to promote Pan-Africanism and strengthen relations among African countries.

The new arrangement is expected to ease travel between both nations and encourage stronger business, tourism and diplomatic exchanges.
