President Bola Tinubu has been presented with a certificate of return following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

The certificate and flag were handed to him on Sunday by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, at a ceremony in Abuja.

The presentation followed Tinubu’s official declaration as the winner of the APC presidential primary election.

He defeated his only challenger, Stanley Osifo from Edo State, in the primary conducted across the country’s 8,809 wards in all 774 local government areas.

The President was declared the winner after the collation exercise held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Tinubu arrived at the venue in the company of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for the formal presentation of the certificate of return and party flag.

The presentation officially confirms him as the APC standard-bearer for the 2027 presidential election.

NAN had earlier reports that President Tinubu returned to Abuja, where he received the APC 2027 presidential candidacy flag and certificate of return.

The President returned to Abuja from Lagos, where he participated in the APC presidential primary election for the 2027 general elections.

Tinubu arrived in Abuja in the company of his wife, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
