British-Nigerian rapper Dave and Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Tems have secured a place on Spotify’s highly anticipated 2026 Songs of Summer predictions list, with their hit collaboration “Raindance” emerging as one of the tracks tipped to dominate global playlists this summer.

Spotify unveiled the 30-song selection on May 29 through its official newsroom, describing the list as tracks its global editorial team believes could shape “summer 2026’s soundtrack” across different countries and genres.

According to Spotify’s Editorial Lead for Pop, Talia Kraines, a true summer hit is built around “the vibes,” explaining that such songs are records listeners can enjoy “outside in the sunshine with your friends” while also crossing genres, cultures and borders.

Dave and Tems earned their spot on the list with “Raindance (feat. Tems),” a standout collaboration released in October 2025 as part of Dave’s third studio album, The Boy Who Played the Harp. The song blends Dave’s reflective rap style with Tems’ soulful and atmospheric vocals, helping it become one of the most-streamed collaborations of the past year. Reports also show the track surpassed 500 million global streams and reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, marking Tems’ first chart-topping single in the United Kingdom.

For Tems, the recognition adds another milestone to an already remarkable international run, further cementing her place among the most influential African artists shaping global music conversations.

The Spotify predictions list also features major global stars including Drake, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson.

According to Spotify, the selection combines established global stars with emerging talents whose songs possess the ingredients of a summer hit — wide appeal, strong streaming momentum and the ability to connect across genres, countries and audiences.

Spotify also introduced a new in-app voting feature that allows listeners to predict which song will eventually emerge as the official Song of the Summer.
