Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, June 5, 2026, reserved ruling until June 9, 2026, on the bail application filed by social media influencer and relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, in a case involving alleged financial misconduct.

Okoro Blessing Nkiruka is standing trial on a two-count charge filed by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of N36 million.

The matter has drawn significant public attention due to the profile of the defendant and the scale of the allegations.

The prosecution is being handled by the anti-graft agency as part of ongoing efforts to tackle financial crimes across the country.

The EFCC, which is responsible for investigating and prosecuting economic and financial offences, maintains that the charges are based on alleged fraudulent transactions.

Court proceedings on Friday focused on arguments surrounding the bail application, after which Justice Dipeolu adjourned ruling to June 9, 2026.

The decision is now expected to determine whether the defendant will be granted bail pending the continuation of trial.

The case continues to attract widespread public interest, particularly given Blessing CEO’s prominence on social media, with observers closely watching the outcome of the next sitting.
