Popular broadcaster and founder of Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, has raised alarm over an alleged plot to plant hard drugs within the premises of his radio station and use individuals disguised as his supporters to implicate him in criminal activities as a pretext for the demolition of the media outfit.
Speaking in an already viral video on social media, Hamzat claimed that some individuals were allegedly working on plans that could culminate in the sealing or demolition of Agidigbo FM. However, he failed to mention the names of those he accused of being behind the alleged scheme.
According to him, recent developments in Oyo State compelled him to publicly alert residents to what he described as an intimidation campaign.
Hamzat alleged that certain individuals had been sent to Agidigbo FM under the guise of bringing complaints or seeking intervention from the station, with the intention of secretly planting ill!cit substance on the premises.
”Some arrests and demolitions are already ongoing in Oyo State. I heard they wanted to plant hard drugs inside Agidigbo and pretend they brought an issue to the station. We saw the people sent yesterday to carry out the plan, and we are still expecting others they intended to send,” he said.
The broadcaster further alleged that there was another separate plan to recruit individuals, dress them in yellow clothing commonly associated with the Accord Party, and present them as his supporters after allegedly engaging in criminal acts.
