He said, “Yes, it’s true, the TikToker is currently being detained over the death of her boyfriend, Isma’il Makaye.”

According to Punch, a source close to the deceased alleged that Cele raised an alarm from her residence, claiming there was a fire, and Makaye was rushed to Nassarawa Hospital for treatment but later died.

Makaye, a cosmetics trader who lived in the Hotoro Tishama area of Kano, was buried at Unguwa Uku Yan Awaki after his remains were released to his family for burial rites.

It was further gathered that officers from the Dorayi Babba Police Division subsequently took Cele into custody as part of investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In other news, the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, recently directed the immediate shutdown of Stephrica Guest Palace Hotel located in Kureken Sani, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.

The order was carried out through the Kano Emirate Council under the leadership of the Galadiman Kano, Aliyu Ibrahim Matawalle.

It came after the council received complaints from residents of the area about activities linked to the hotel.

According to the Emirate Council, several petitions were submitted by members of the community, raising concerns about how the hotel was being run.

The council reviewed the complaints before taking action.

The decision was taken as part of efforts to respond to community worries and maintain calm in the area.
