Speaking during the commissioning of the unit, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji said the initiative aligns with Item 7 of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises accelerated economic diversification through industrialization, digitization, manufacturing, innovation and the creative industries.

Magaji described the Corporate Affairs Commission as a leader in the digital transformation of public service delivery, noting that the establishment of the new unit represents another milestone in the agency’s efforts to eliminate paper-based processes and improve operational efficiency. He tasked the Innovation and Digital Services Unit with ensuring that all CAC state offices fully adopt the commission’s paperless and digitisation strategy.

Responding on behalf of the new unit, Mohammed Abdullahi welcomed the initiative and commended the Registrar-General for establishing the unit. He pledged the team’s commitment to delivering on its mandate and supporting the commission’s vision of a fully digital, paperless organisation.

The launch of the Innovation and Digital Services Unit forms part of the Corporate Affairs Commission’s broader digital transformation agenda, which seeks to leverage technology to improve public service delivery, enhance operational efficiency and provide faster, more seamless services to businesses and the public across Nigeria.
