Ekiti Court Remands Woman and Alleged Lover Over Husband’s Death

An Ekiti State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has remanded a housewife, Olasunkanmi Olowoyeye, and her alleged lover, Adejoke Adegbite, over the death of her husband, Mathew Akinsuile.

According to the prosecution, the two suspects are accused of conspiring to cause the death of the deceased.

Reports allege that the suspects claimed to have used “Magun,” a traditional belief sometimes referred to as a thunderbolt charm, as part of their plan. They allegedly intended for Mathew Akinsuile to become weak and unconscious after having sexual intercourse with his wife.

The prosecution further alleges that after the victim became unconscious, the two suspects k!lled him.

The defendants have been remanded in custody pending further proceedings, while investigations and the court process continue.
