CSP Omolade Adegoke, Force Drone Commander of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Airwing, has received an international award in recognition of her leadership, innovation, and contributions to public service.
The award was presented on May 30 by the Global Leaders and Business Awards (GLBA) in London.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Airwing Police Public Relations Officer (Liaison), SP Ofem Osong, on Wednesday in Abuja.
“The Award of Honour recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation and excellence in public service,” Osong said in a statement.
He quoted the Commissioner of Police, Airwing, CP Nwogoh Martin, as commending Adegoke and describing the recognition as a reflection of the professionalism and innovation being promoted within the NPF Airwing.
“The award underscores the growing role of technology in modern policing and the Force’s commitment to enhancing operational effectiveness through innovation.
“I urge officers and personnel of the Airwing to remain committed to professionalism, discipline and integrity in the discharge of their duties,” the statement quoted Martin as saying.
Martin was also quoted as saying that the recognition reflected the Nigeria Police Force’s investment in technology-driven policing in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, to strengthen professionalism, innovation and operational effectiveness.
He noted that Adegoke, as Force Drone Commander, had led intelligence-driven drone surveillance operations that supported crime prevention and security management across the country.
Responding to the honour, Adegoke dedicated the award to members of her team and personnel of the Airwing for their dedication and support.
She also expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police for providing an environment that encourages innovation, professionalism and excellence in service.
According to her, the recognition serves as motivation to remain committed to integrity, excellence and impactful service delivery.
