Meet Chief Kola Daisi, Elder Statesman, Renowned Nigerian Industrialist, Lawyer, and Philanthropist. He is the Founder of Kola Daisi University, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Born in Ibadan, he had his early education in the city before proceeding to the United Kingdom. He studied economics and law at the London School of Economics and the University of London and was called to the Bar at the Middle Temple, London.
Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI): Served for eleven years, eventually rising to the position of chief executive.
NACCIMA: Acted as executive director of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture.
International Commerce: Co-founded and served as the first Executive Director of both the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce.
ECOWAS: Represented the organized private sector on the federal government delegation that launched the Economic Community of West African States.
The 93-year-old industrialist holds the traditional title of the Bashorun of Ibadanland.
