Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, describing life in the spotlight as an expensive commitment.
The award-winning singer made the revelation during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel, where he spoke about the financial demands of maintaining his lifestyle and career.
According to Davido, his monthly expenditure ranges between ₦300 million and ₦400 million but noted that the figure does not cover the personal expenses of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.
He also clarified that the amount excludes purchases of luxury assets such as high-end vehicles and jewelry.
“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household.
“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewelry.”
Meanwhile, Davido recently reacted to a viral video featuring Ozonna Soludo, the son of Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo, dancing and singing along to a controversial song that referenced several Nigerian political figures.
The video gained widespread attention on social media after Ozonna appeared unbothered while the lyrics mentioned his father, President Bola Tinubu, and other prominent politicians.
Davido later joined the conversation by reacting to the clip on social media.
The DMW boss appeared amused by Ozonna’s participation in the video and left a comment suggesting that the governor’s son was unconcerned about the public reaction the footage might generate.
