CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) and Dangote Industries Limited are partnering for a new global, multiplatform campaign to showcase the scale, impact, and ambition of one of Africa’s most influential industrial groups, while highlighting the continent’s growing role in the global economy.

As the largest conglomerate in West Africa, and one of the largest on the African continent, Dangote Industries Limited is a key gateway for business leaders and decision-makers looking to invest in the continent.

The collaboration includes sponsorship of a new half-hour show airing across CNN International, Africa Inc. Host Adefemi Akinsanya will showcase how African companies are competing and thriving on the global stage, from technology and hospitality, to manufacturing and entertainment. The series positions the continent not as an emerging player, but as a growing force shaping global commerce, innovation, and consumer trends. Africa Inc. will premiere in August, with four more episodes throughout 2026 and into 2027. Bespoke Africa Inc. segments will also run bi-monthly across CNN International, with digital and social content across CNN.com.

The campaign will also include a suite of branded content produced by CNNIC’s in-house studio Create, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Leveraging the CNN Create team’s award-winning storytelling, Africa First will celebrate the continent’s bold strides towards energy independence and economic transformation. The dynamic content series, spanning human-led films, immersive data articles, and sharp social formats, will spotlight Dangote Industries Limited as an example of Africa’s progress.

This multiplatform campaign will be available on CNN International, CNN.com, and CNN Arabic, as well as across CNN Business channels on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The Africa First branded content will also run on CNN US on TV and digital.

In addition, the campaign goes beyond media, as Dangote Industries Limited will be a sponsor at three editions of CNN’s new events franchise Global Perspectives over the coming 12 months.

Cathy Ibal, Senior Vice President, Advertising Sales, CNNIC said, “We are pleased to once again be working with Dangote Industries Limited to tell the stories of a self-sufficient Africa. This partnership reflects our shared ambition to spotlight the innovation, resilience, and leadership emerging from Africa and connect this with CNN’s global audience through media and events.”

Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer, Dangote Industries Limited added, “This collaboration signposts our global brand positioning drive and allows us to highlight the strides in our Vision 2030 economic blueprint and Africa First as a new paradigm shift in rebranding industrialisation journey. CNNIC is a veritable platform in showcasing our rapid industrialisation footprint in Africa.”

Africa First branded content launches this week, with the half hour show Africa Inc. premiering August 29th on CNN International.
