Kano State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Aliko Dangote Foundation for the takeover and management of the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre for 20 years.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Sanusi Bature, the spokesperson to Gov. Abba Yusuf, on Wednesday in Kano.
Bature said that the agreement was aimed at repositioning the centre and maximising its potential in providing entrepreneurial and vocational training opportunities for youths across the state.
He disclosed that the MoU was signed on Tuesday, with the state government represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdulkareem Maude.
The governor expressed confidence that Alhaji Aliko Dangote, as one of the sons of the state, would contribute his expertise and resources towards developing the skills and entrepreneurial capacity of the state’s teeming youths.
