Airtel Launches Fursa Lab at Tanzania School to Boost Students’ Digital Skills

Airtel Fursa Lab has been officially launched at Kijitonyama Secondary School in Tanzania, marking a new step toward strengthening digital skills, innovation and technology education among young people.

The launch was officiated by Esi Prah, Head of Programmes at Airtel Africa Foundation, alongside representatives from Airtel and Dar Teknohama Business Incubator (DTBi).

The initiative brings together Airtel and DTBi to create an enabling environment where students can learn and explore technology, build digital skills, and develop their creativity and entrepreneurial potential.

Representatives at the launch included Jackson Mbando, Airtel Relations Manager; Beatrice, Regulatory and Corporate Communications Director at Airtel; Promise Mwakale, Partnership Manager at DTBi; and Jennifer Mbuya, Corporate Communications, CSR and Strategic Partnerships.

The Fursa Lab is expected to give students practical opportunities to develop future-ready skills and explore how technology can be applied to address real-world challenges.

The initiative highlights the role of partnerships between the private sector and education-focused organisations in expanding access to digital learning and fostering innovation among young people.
