BRICS countries have advanced cooperation on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), global value chains and logistics under India’s 2026 Chairship.

Secretary of Economic Relations in India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Shri Sudhakar Dalela, made this known while addressing newsmen at the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

Dalela said the cooperation pillar focused on deepening economic cooperation among BRICS members.

He identified the BRICS MSME Cooperation Portal, cooperation on global value chains and the BRICS Logistics Supply Chain Cooperation Framework among the key initiatives developed during the chairship.

He said the initiatives are part of more than 50 practical outcomes achieved across the four priority areas of resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability.

Dalela said India had sought to make BRICS cooperation more practical, solution-oriented, and people-centered.

He said the grouping also advanced initiatives in innovation, including the BRICS Startup Innovation Fund and Incubator Network, as well as the BRICS Science and Research Repository.

Dalela said that cooperation on infrastructure, technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development was also strengthened.

He said the initiatives would provide a foundation for deeper BRICS collaboration beyond India’s 2026 Chairship.
