Flam, an AI interactive content company, has raised $40 million in Series B funding led by QED Investors, with participation from Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan and Shah Rukh Khan. Existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail also doubled down on the company.

The funding comes as Flam expands its enterprise customer base, having signed more than 100 customers across six quarters. Its customers include Google, Emirates and KFC, which use the company’s technology for marketing, product visualisation, learning and development, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support and sales.

Flam holds more than 15 patents and currently offers three formats designed to support interactive digital experiences.

Flicks are interactive videos that can switch between people, products or scenes during playback. The company uses a patented compression algorithm to deliver the format programmatically with a 50-millisecond time-to-first-buffer. Forge, Flam’s editing model, uses image references to modify only the specified element.

Airboards provide high-fidelity 3D content through a camera interface, supporting touch, voice interactions and haptic feedback. Flam said its 3D streaming technology loads Airboards in 300 milliseconds without requiring users to install an app. Fable, its image-to-video model, generates assets as native alpha-channel videos.

The company’s Visual Agents are human-like characters designed to hold conversations and take agentic actions, providing an experience positioned as a video call rather than a conventional chat window. Flam said Fantom handles facial expression through identity preservation and motion transfer, while Finesse supports voice in any language. Falcon, a 26-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts large language model, delivers responses at 30 milliseconds time-to-first-token, with the full pipeline returning an answer in under two seconds.

Flam said the new capital will be used to support research and development of its AI models, while also expanding the company’s product and enterprise capabilities.
