Nigeria’s High Commissioner-Designate to Kenya with concurrent accreditation to Somalia, Ambassador Danlami Ibrahim, presented his Letters of Credence to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud at Villa Somalia in Mogadishu.
Ibrahim conveyed greetings from President Bola Tinubu to President Mohamud and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Somalia.

The Ambassador also reiterated Nigeria’s readiness to deepen collaboration with Somalia in key areas including security and counter-terrorism, trade and investment, education, diaspora management and culture.
The presentation follows Ibrahim’s accreditation in Nairobi earlier this month, where he formally began his tour of duty as High Commissioner to Kenya.
The Nigerian Embassy in Mogadishu is expected to schedule follow-up engagements with Somali ministries to develop frameworks for the agreed areas of cooperation.
