LG Electronics has been recognised as the “Most Trusted Electronic Brand” at the fifth edition of the Consumer Value Awards (CVA) 2026, organised by brand management company BrandXchange.

LG Electronics secured 57.1 per cent of the consumer and citizen voice vote in the television category, emerging as the winner of the 2026 Most Trusted Electronic Brand award in Nigeria.

The recognition was based on a consumer and citizen voting process designed to place consumers at the centre of the awards and recognise brands that have earned their confidence and support.

Speaking on the recognition, Head, Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics Nigeria, Paul Mba, said the award reflected the confidence Nigerian consumers continue to place in the LG brand.

He said the recognition would further encourage the company to focus on innovation, quality and products designed around consumers’ needs.

“Being recognised as the Most Trusted Electronic Brand is a meaningful reflection of the confidence consumers place in LG. For us, trust is built every day through innovation that genuinely improves lives, quality products and a commitment to delivering experiences that put consumers first,” Mba said.

He expressed appreciation to Nigerian consumers for the recognition, adding that it would inspire the company to continue developing solutions that support its “Life’s Good” philosophy.

Also speaking at the event, Convener of the Consumer Value Awards, Akonte Ekine, said the awards were founded on the belief that consumers should have a stronger voice in the marketplace.

Ekine explained that the category under which LG Electronics emerged as the winner was designed to recognise brands based on Consumer Voice, Consumer Choice and Consumer Value.

According to him, the CVA is not merely an awards ceremony but an evolving consumer engagement platform aimed at encouraging brands, institutions and government to listen to the people they serve.

“We believe that consumers and citizens are the paymasters. And paymasters deserve a better experience,” Ekine said.

The recognition adds to LG Electronics’ recent international achievements, following its emergence as Best Brand of IFA 2026 at the second annual IFA Innovation Awards.

The latest recognition further highlights LG Electronics’ presence in the global technology and consumer electronics market, particularly in areas of product innovation, design and consumer experience.

The Consumer Value Awards recognition also reinforces the importance of consumer feedback in shaping the relationship between brands and the people who use their products.

For LG Electronics, the award represents another recognition of its efforts to build consumer confidence through technology, product quality and customer-focused innovation.
