FairMoney Microfinance Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a simpler, more responsive and rewarding banking experience as it joins customers and employees around the world in marking Customer Service Week 2026.
With this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” the bank said excellent customer service goes beyond responding to enquiries or resolving transactions, stressing the importance of listening carefully, understanding customers’ needs and taking deliberate steps to provide meaningful solutions.
In a message to customers to commemorate the week, Henry Obiekea, managing director, FairMoney Microfinance Bank, expressed appreciation to customers for their continued trust and patronage.
“As we celebrate Customer Service Week, I want to begin with a simple but important message: thank you for choosing FairMoney,” Obiekea said.
According to him, customers’ interactions with financial institutions are rarely just about transactions, as they may involve urgent financial needs, hard-earned savings, cards customers depend on or concerns requiring timely resolution.
He noted that customers deserve to be heard, treated with respect and provided with clear and helpful support.
Obiefuna also acknowledged that service providers may not always get everything right, describing every complaint, concern and customer conversation as an opportunity for FairMoney to listen, improve and do more.
“Your feedback helps us identify where we need to improve and build a better banking experience for you,” he said.
The FairMoney MD used the occasion to recognise the contribution of the bank’s customer service teams and employees working behind the scenes to support customers and ensure seamless service delivery.
He said the celebration was not only an opportunity to recognise customer-facing teams but also to renew FairMoney’s commitment to making customers’ experiences “simpler, more responsive, and more rewarding.”
The bank said its focus on going the extra mile will extend beyond Customer Service Week, with the commitment expected to remain part of its everyday approach to serving customers.
“Thank you for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to serve you. We will continue going the extra mile for you, not only during Customer Service Week, but every day,” Obiekea added.
FairMoney’s Customer Service Week message reinforces the bank’s broader focus on building stronger relationships with its customers by putting their needs, feedback and experience at the centre of its service delivery.
