Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has hosted Aliko Dangote and BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu at a private dinner in honour of Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, amid reports of his 2027 governorship ambition.
Rabiu disclosed the gathering in a statement shared on his official social media account on Sunday, describing it as a memorable evening of friendship and meaningful conversations.
The dinner, held at Otedola’s residence, brought together the three prominent businessmen and Hamzat, who has served as deputy governor under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu since 2019.
Rabiu commended Otedola for hosting the event and extended his best wishes to Hamzat as he pursues his ambition to become Lagos State governor.
Hamzat has been widely mentioned as a potential contender in the 2027 governorship election, as political activities intensify ahead of the succession race.
Although Rabiu expressed support for Hamzat’s aspirations, there was no indication that Otedola and Dangote had formally endorsed his governorship bid.
