Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has slammed Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for mocking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Igboho, in a viral video on Sunday, described Makinde’s stage-jumping stunt as childish and disrespectful to the President.
He said, “He was jumping around like a frog and a mad man, insulting Tinubu, saying Tinubu can’t jump like him as if he doesn’t have a father.”
Igboho warned that he will not tolerate any insult on Tinubu, declaring: “If you insult Tinubu, I will insult you back.”
The activist also said anyone who wants to live long should not mock an elderly person, calling Makinde a disgrace.
Trouble began on Thursday when Makinde, at a South-West town hall meeting in Akure, Ondo State capital for his presidential campaign, jumped down from the stage to prove his physical stamina.
According to Makinde, who is running under the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, 2027 should be about candidates’ energy, not age, and challenged other presidential candidates to do the same.
“If they can do that, vote for them,” Makinde said.
Though Makinde did not mention Tinubu’s name, many interpreted it as a jab at President Tinubu’s fitness.
