MultiChoice Nigeria wins big at Brandcom Awards 2020

MultiChoice Nigeria has been named the Brand of the Year by leading brands and marketing publications, Brand Communicator. The announcement was made at the 2020 edition of the BrandCom Awards which took place in Lagos, Nigeria on Friday, November 27, 2020.

The leading pay TV company also took home four other awards including Most Engaging TV Content Of The Year for Big Brother Naija and Pay TV Brand Of The Year for DStv. The award for Corporate Communications Professional of the year went to the company’s Executive Head, Corporate Affairs; Caroline Oghuma, while the CEO Of The Year (Media & Entertainment) award went to John Ugbe, the Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria.

Now in its second year, Brandcom Awards is designed to be the most credible and prestigious platform recognising, rewarding and inspiring agencies, brands and individuals in the marketing and communications industry in Nigeria. According to the convener and publisher of the awards of Brand Communicator, Joshua Ajayi, “Despite the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 this year which affected economic activities and businesses, some brands, agencies and individuals were outstanding within their space with their innovative solutions, campaigns and consumer engagements.”

Speaking on the awards, John Ugbe Chief Executive Officer, MultiChoice Nigeria said, “We are very grateful for the recognition. Awards like these ones serve to let us know that all the work we put in is recognized.”

MultiChoice is Nigeria’s pioneer pay-TV service provider offering premium entertainment comprising general entertainment, news, information, sports, and education channels through its DStv and GOtv platforms.
