It was learnt that efforts to recover the huge misappropriated sum in-house wasn’t yielding any fruit and the management had to resort to the EFCC to intervene, hence the questioning of the popular socialite politician and others.

While further details on the development are still sketchy as at the time of this report, it was learnt that the anti-graft agency already got the lead it wanted to ensure that the diverted funds are returned to the agency’s coffer.

It was further learnt that the four directors were later released on bail after hours of drilling by the Ibrahim Magu-led men.

When contacted on the issue, the EFCC spokesperson, Orilade Tony could not be reached to comment on the matter.

It would be recalled that the ageless high society woman’s daughter Mrs. Adetoun Ibilola Popoola was recently appointed to head the Lagos State Parks & Gardens Agency (LASPARK) as General Manager, which has continued to raise eyebrow in different quarters.
