The era of political campaigning is fast approaching and many hatchet writers with subversive mission will be on the prowl to cast aspersions on their paymaster’s perceived political enemies.

The Ogun State 2023 election will not be an exception as some political jobers and interlopers have thrown themselves into the ring,  but very unfortunate ,they have hit the wrong target.

In their mundane write-up, the hatchet writer who hid his repulsive write-up under his pseudonym “Dr. Quadri Ola” was blaming the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for not appointing all those who worked for his election in 2019 into political offices! How possible could this be in a modern society?

It will only take a desperate writer with a very dubious motive to have the ‘illusion’ that a governor who wants to deliver on his promises to the good people of his state would go all out giving appointment letters to all those who supported his electioneering campaign when obviously the number of offices to be filled are limited.

The essence of supporting a candidate is to have a credible,  transparent and capable person in government.  A Governor who can drive the idea of CHANGE MANTRA of the party to the NEXT LEVEL. This mission,we all know Governor Abiodun has done to the admiration of the people of Ogun State.

Perhaps,  the writer’s paymaster may not be familiar with the workings of APC?

If he is a member of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogun State , he would have bern acquainted with the process of appointing qualified and competent party members into various political positions across the twenty(20) local governments in the state.

Quadri’s attempt to denigrate the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun has failed woefully because the people of the state can feel the impact of his government in the last two and a half years. Prince Dapo Abiodun has turned Ogun State to construction sites where several projects dotted various landscapes in the state.

He has built over 270km of network of roads across the three senatorial districts of the state, where over 300km of local roads have been rehabilitated across the state.

The 42km road between Shagamu and Lagos has been adjudged the best  in the country. The Abeokuta/Shagamu interchange road, the ceremonial route to the gateway state capital, Ibara, Quto, MKO Abiola Stadium, Okemosan, Laderin, Kobape, Siun to Shagamu exchange links the Lagos/Shagamu expressway to Lagos and the south-east. The 14km Ijebu-Ode/ Epe road has made life better for motorists in that corridor.

Mr Quadri and his ilks will not appreciate the Kobape housing estate or the Prince Court estate at Kemta, Idi-Aba and Abeokuta, but these projects are fitting tributes to Governor Abiodun’s genus and commendable performance in our Gateway State.

The good people of Ogun State are pleased with their governor and excited about his achievements. Governor Abiodun is not a noisemaker (He is a silent achiever) who within the last few years has been able to prove critics like Quadri wrong. Thousands of Quadri cannot change the  course of  God’s work in Ogun State.
