The highly-anticipated Real Housewives of Lagos finally launched on Showmax today Friday, April 8, 2022, and it was just a sneak peek into what fans of the show can expect for the rest of the season.
The show’s first episode only proved that the first season of RHOLagos will be one for the books.
Here’s everything the first episode proves fans should expect for the rest of the first season:
1. All the bling-bling:
From the first scene of the episode to the last clip, the housewives covered everything in bling. This signifies that the show will have a massive display of wealth and riches. Each housewife’s house looks fit for royalty, their closets will make most ladies weak at the knees, and the amount of jewellery they own may oppress simple-minded people. RHOLagos will only encourage fans to live vicariously through the show’s women at the end of the day.
2. Impeccable fashion choices:
If there’s one thing you can always expect women like Iyabo Ojo, Tiannah, Chioma Good Hair, Mariam, Laura Ikeji, and Carolyna to do, is ‘slay’. And they brought their A-games to every scene. There’ll never be a fashion-dull moment on the show, and we are excited to see all the looks the housewives pull off. The best part is there’s a little fashion inspiration for every look – from the beach look to cocktails, dinners, ‘owambes’, and even business-casual. Fashion lovers are going to adore this show.
3. Controversial statements:
These ladies have never been afraid to speak their minds, and a few cameras will never change that. You’ll hear everything as the season progresses, from the nastiest things to the most elitist statements. Either way, fans need to prepare themselves to listen to some of the most shocking opinions and ideologies as the women of RHOLagos are not holding back.
4. The craziest girl fights:
It’s impossible to throw six women from entirely different backgrounds into a group and expect them to make it without conflicts. Rich or not, the real housewives are surprisingly just like every other female, and they are not afraid to throw it down. The ladies will have some of the most jaw-dropping fights we’ve ever seen in Nigerian reality TV history, but even those will be entertaining.
5. A little gossip:
What’s a reality show without gossip? Boring! And the housewives are anything but that. So, viewers can expect to see some ‘amebo’, denials, confrontations, and other jazz from talking about your friends behind their backs. This season will definitely leave most fights scrambling to pick sides. Last-last, the only real winners will be the women. Lol!
6. Straight-up chaotic drama:
If all of those mentioned above didn’t already tip you off, this show is 100% drama and nothing else. Every second of the first episode just screamed ‘More drama to come!” The best thing this first episode did was get everybody geared up for all the drama that the rest of the season will bring. We are excited, are you?
The first episode will air on Africa Magic Showcase and Urban on the 9th of April at 9 pm. However, fans will have to catch the rest of the season exclusively on Showmax.
