There’s been bad blood between the vice president’s camp and Tinubu’s camp, following the former’s decision to join the presidential race, which Tinubu apparently considers an affront.

Tinubu first brought Osinbajo to limelight by appointing him as Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Lagos.

Tinubu also nominated him as the Vice President to President Muhammadu Buhari following the victory of APC in 2015.

Indeed, Osinbajo was booed as a betrayer for contesting against his former boss and benefactor on arrival at the Eagle Square on Tuesday evening.

Things got worse for Osinbajo when his former boss was endorsed by two former governors, Godswill Akpabio and Ibikunle Amosun, a sitting governors, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa, a former House of Representatives Speaker, Dimeji Bankole and the only female aspirant, Uju Ohaneye joining the bandwagon.

Collation of votes has ended and the results are cuirrently being announced, with Tinubu in clear lead, Osinbajo in second position and Amaechi coming third.
