Senator Solomon Adeola alias Yayi, the amiable Senator who presently graces the Lagos West Senatorial seat in the revered  legislative chamber is a man of style.

And that is why one guesses that the gentleman adorns his personality with an array of over ten phones, after all, in such a highly placed office, he surely needs to communicate with millions of people at short notice and people who are in different continents. More so,  as too many millions of people maybe trying to reach him, all at the same time. (Sic).

Anyway that is his style. And it is rumoured in society circles that he may actually carry so many phones but when you call most of the lines are off!

And that is just Yayi, a man of style and controversy.

Only Yayi could be linked with storage of money in a house in ikoyi meant for his election campaign as reported in Societynow.ng on April 13, 2017. Perhaps because his election campaigns are usually deliberately huge. It’s usually all about heavy disbursement of money. Remember how his posters flooded every public space during his elections? But Yayi’s aide was quick to issue “an emphatic statement denying his principal’s alleged links with recovered cash.

He stated that, ‘’There is absolutely no iota of truth in this obvious blackmail targeted at destroying the rising profile of the senator who had spent over 14 years in public office.”

That was that. Controversy just trails some people.

But what could even be more controversial than the politician’s character of appearing in different locations and communities across Yorubaland claiming to be an indigene all at the same time! Viz a viz, Lagos West Senatorial District, Ogun West Senatorial District and maybe next election he will be an indigene of Edo state or move to Kwara state.

And one really wonder where he belongs! But he seems to get his way, how? Ask the people who made him a winner of the election in Lagos West Senatorial District and those who made him winner at Ogun West Senatorial District days ago!

Same Yayi that stirred up another controversy two years ago as reported by The Octopus News published 2 years ago on April 9, 2020 with headline: “50 Million Naira Controversy Trails Senator Solomon Adeola” and reads:

“The purported N50 million Naira cash gifts by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola to people of his Lagos West Senatorial District has turned out to be a fraud after all.

“Yesterday, the social media was agog with news of Senator Solomon Olamilekan’s purported donation of N50 million naira to be shared among residents of his senatorial district as palliative for the lockdown occasioned by the COVID 19 pandemic ravaging almost all of the entire globe.

“Investigations carried out by our team revealed that though money was shared among the twenty eight local governments constituting his senatorial district, the amount was a far cry from the N50 million said to have been expended by the Senator.

“The purported N50 million naira, if divided by the 28 local councils in his district ought to be N1.7 million naira per local government, divide this by seven which is an average number of wards in each local government and you get N255,000 per ward.

“Virtually all of the chairmen of APC local government branches in the senatorial district disclosed that the amount of one hundred thousand naira was sent to each council to be shared to the seven wards making it about N14,000 per ward. This is what Senator Yayi is coming up with for the five years he has been Senator.

“They wondered how a hundred thousand naira could be shared to thousands of party faithfuls in each local.”

The style indeed tells a lot about the personality.
