The All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State chapter, has lamented that the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration has failed Deltans in all ramifications.

The APC Chairman, Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state, Mr Mathew Chinye, stated this while receiving defecting members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC at the local government area.

According to him, the governor needs to stop mortgaging Deltans future with his borrowing.

He added that, “PDP members are defecting to APC because Okowa has failed in delivering dividend of democracy to the people.

“Deltans are tired of the Okowa-led government. Look at the area of infrastructures, nothing to show for. Some of the roads constructed are already failing when he is still on power.

“What you are seeing now, people leaving PDP is because of frustration caused by Okowa. He is busy borrowing money to leave huge amount of debt for the incoming governor thereby mortgaging our future. We have not seen anything productive from the N150billion recently borrowed.”

In his remark, the APC House of Assembly candidate Aniocha North, Mr. Boise Bazim, said that the mass exodus caused by defection to APC is a proof that APC has taken over come 2023.

He said that Delta will deliver Tinubu and all other APC candidates in the state..

“The people we received today into APC are PDP grassroot mobilisers who over the years have been our nightmare during elections. Now they joined us, this means that the APC will sweep all the votes in the state,” he added.
