A Lagos based publishing company identified as Shadrach Blake Ltd has called out the state government over non payment of a publishing job executed for the government since 2019.

The company has however instructed its lawyer to institute a legal action as a last resort since all other avenues have been frustrated.

According to a letter by the legal firm of Yinka Muyiwa & Co to the governor, the company is demanding a full payment of the contract or get the supplied publications returned.

The company explained how it has ran into bankruptcy as a result of debts incurred to get the publications delivered.

Pointing at why the governor, through the Tourism ministry has refused to entertain their prayers is because one of the publications has former governor Akinwumi Ambode’s list of achievements in the culture and arts sector.

“We don’t know how our request for payment or return of the publications is so difficult to achieve if not for other motives to frustrate our business, we sense an act of vendetta” the letter wondered.

As it is, it can be concluded that the stated government is acting in contrary to what the title of the publication says THE COOLEST CITY ON EARTH.

All efforts to speak with the Tourism commissioner, Uzamat Akinbile proved abortive as our calls were not answered.
