The presence of distinguished personalities such as Donald Duke and Cecilia Ibru underscored the significance of Herbert Wigwe’s impact on both the financial industry and broader society. Their presence served as a poignant reminder of the profound loss felt not only by the Wigwe family but also by the entire nation.

The Minister’s relationship with the Wigwes dates back to the 2000s when they were all in Anthony Village, Lagos where the late banking guru’s dad was living before they moved to Island.

Aside from being a family friend, the Minister’s visit to the Wigwes also exemplifies the government’s commitment to standing in solidarity with families affected by tragic events and providing support during times of grief.
