Nigerian singer, Brymo, has explained why he believes he is a better artiste than Burna Boy, his colleague.

In a recent chat with Bae U, a skit maker, Brymo argued that Burna Boy is below his standard.

Brymo was responding during a Q&A session where Bae U referenced a diss song by Burna Boy mentioning his name.

The singer, Brymo, described himself as the “finest vocalist on the continent”.

“Is it not Burna Boy lyrics? Nothing in this world would put his name in my song. He no reach my standard,” he said.

“I am not proud enough. I am probably the finest vocalist on the continent. Better than anybody. I am not thinking. I know this.

“Even Twitter guys cannot disagree with him despite the hate.

“You can win an award, but that does not mean you are the best man for that award.”

Last year, Brymo and Burna Boy clashed after the former accused the latter of dubbing from his musical work.

Brymo claimed that Burna Boy’s songs ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ were tracks from Macabre, his album.

In response, Burna Boy mocked Brymo’s career in a freestyle song.

He called the singer a “failure”.

Burna Boy also advised his fans to avoid a similar fate by working hard.

Born Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi, Brymo also came to the limelight after collaborating with Ice Prince on ‘Oleku’, in 2010.

He has become controversial in media circles for his stance on social matters.
