• Community leader, beneficiaries laud economic intervention

Olanshile Sauban Group distributes over 4500 bags of food items, cash gift to residents on Lagos Island

In commemoration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, A Lagos Real Estate Developer and Philanthropist, Mr. Olanshile Sauban shared variety of food items to vulnerable residents on Lagos Island Local Government Area on Tuesday October 1, 2024.

The community reach-out programme organised by ‘The Olanshile Sauban Group’ witnessed a large turnout of widows, elderly citizens and physically challenged persons; in which each of the resident received 5kg rice, semovita, garri, loaves of jumbo-size bread and cash gift running into millions of naira. Over 4,500 bags were gifted to beneficiaries.

While addressing the beneficiaries, Sauban stated that the philanthropic gesture was conceived to alleviate hardship among locals and complement President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Social welfare scheme.

“In a time like this, it has become necessary to reach out to the vulnerable across the Island,” he said.

“For me, rather than expend resources on social gathering and throw big party, I organised the community food bank to cushion the effect of the economic challenge in the country,” the leader of the group stated.

The Director-General of Olanshile Sauban Group, Mr. Lateef Ogunfowora collaborated Sauban’s statement. He said the intervention initiative would lessen hardship in the Lagos community

A community leader, Mr. Olushola Adeshina said the food items would relieve the poor of financial constraints.

Continuing, he said: “Sauban is a community man.He is connected to the Grassroot. A very humble and kind-hearted individual.”

“On several occasions, Sauban had supported the less-privileged. He had offered both moral and financial aids to the needy.

“I pray that he will continue to flourish as he support the less privileged in the society”.

Speaking onbehalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaja Sherifat Keshinro expressed gratitude to Sauban. she urged other well meaning Nigerians to emulate the kind gesture.
