The Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos State, on Tuesday, acquitted popular musician Abdulazeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, in connection with the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, referencing the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution, Lagos, stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer.

The court also released music promoter Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager Opere Babatunde.

However, the DPP announced plans to prosecute auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe and Mohbad’s friend Ayobami Sadiq for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The two individuals will face prosecution in the magistrate court.
