inDrive, the global ride-hailing platform, has partnered with churches and Christian organisations across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt to roll out a five-week church activation campaign aimed at empowering Nigerians through flexible income opportunities and improved access to transport after church services.

The activations addressed a common challenge faced by many churchgoers with limited transportation options after large events and late-night services. By working directly with churches, inDrive created a safe and empowering alternative that helped people get home while offering others a dignified path to earning.

Churchgoers also enjoyed 50% cashback on rides to and from church services during the campaign, an added benefit that made mobility more affordable for congregants. Participating churches included Harvesters International Christian Centre (Lagos and Abuja), The New Church (Lagos), and others across the three cities.

The activations also encouraged members to think beyond their own needs by suggesting they “take a neighbour to church” or “help someone get home safely”turning what is often a logistical challenge into a shared solution.

As the campaign progressed, churches welcomed the inDrive team, provided booth space, and actively shared the message with their congregations. The collaborative tone and community-first approach allowed the campaign to flourish in spaces that are typically cautious about commercial partnerships.

“We’re proud to partner with faith communities that are deeply rooted in compassion and service,” said Timothy Oladimeji, Country Representative at inDrive Nigeria. “By connecting purpose with opportunity, we’re not just moving people, we’re uplifting lives.”

Looking ahead, inDrive remains committed to expanding this initiative to even more cities and congregations across Nigeria. As the company continues to challenge injustice and create access to dignified earnings, partnerships like these show that transport can be more than just a ride—it can be a vehicle for positive change.
